Tim Bement of APP Architecture summarized items discussed in the November 2nd video conference and at the November 16th New Building Committee meeting at Station #1. He presented revised layout drawings for the new Stations #3 and #4.

Minutes of 10/19/11 Regular Session

Bills ($79,285.64) and payroll ($166,526.56) totaling $245,812.20 are motioned for acceptance and payment.

COMMITTEE REPORTS

NEW BUILDINGS: Chief Lutz reported that the New Building Committee met on November 2nd and 16th with Tim Bement of App Architecture to discuss revised plans for Stations #3 and #4. Lutz requested Board approval to proceed with plans as presented.

CHIEF’S REPORT – Chief Gene Lutz:

1) Travis English Resignation: Chief Lutz advised the board that, due to the hours required in his full time position, Travis English, Transport Program, has submitted his letter of resignation to the Madison Fire District.

2) Haz-Mat Training: Chief Lutz reported that Alex Hearn, Scott Wells, Eddie Chernisky, Justin Meister and Nick Moon have recently completed Haz-Mat classes facilitating the District to have more personnel on the County Haz-Mat team which will ultimately reduce the Districts annual costs.

3) Run Reports: Year-to-date crews have responded to 3,236 calls including 562 Transports (3.5/day – 1,260/yr.).

OTHER ITEMS:
Mr. Brotzman wished everyone a happy holiday and stated that he believes the District is headed in the right direction.

Mr. Britton announced that, as Mayor Elect for Madison Village, he will not be returning to the Fire Board in 2012. He commented that he was proud of the accomplishments of the Fire Board over the past few decades and wished them well in the future.

Mr. Wayman reported that the Madison Township Trustee election results would be official on Monday, November 21st and would determine whether or not he would be returning to the Fire Board (12 years).
