COMMITTEE REPORTS:

New Building Committee:

Chief Lutz reported that he, Mr. Long and Captain Kloski met with the Superintendent at the Station #3 site on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 and, although everything is still moving along well, the weather continues to slow things down (38 days behind). Weather permitting, concrete will be poured next week. Mr. Bement will be at the next construction meeting on Wednesday, March 27th and will attend the April 17th Fire Board meeting.

OLD BUSINESS:

Mr. Vest inquired about the status of the Station #1 parking lot paving project which had been put on hold last year because of the installation of the gas/diesel tanks. He requested that the project be reactivated and that quotes be collected for both paving and chip and seal. Mr. Long committed to initiating the quote process.

Chief Lutz commented that the gas/diesel tanks located behind Station #1 will eventually be relocated to the new Station #3. Mr. Takacs asked, and Chief Lutz answered that the electric service needed for the tanks at Station #3 is part of the construction plans.

NEW BUSINESS: No Comments.
